School Profile
Armuchee Primary School
Armuchee Primary School is a pre-kindergarten through second-grade school located in the northern section of Floyd County. It is one of three schools in the Armuchee school district. The Armuchee school district extends from the Rome city limits northeast to the Gordon County line and northwest to the Chattooga County line. Although it can be categorized as a rural school, some students live in a suburban atmosphere while others in the northernmost area of the county live on large tracts of land used for farming. The school was established in July of 2022 when Glenwood Primary School closed its doors and the staff and students moved to the building on Martha Berry Hwy. After second-grade at APS, students move to Armuchee Elementary School for grades 3-6 which is located on Floyd Springs Road.
